Description

Sung Mass (Eucharist) - A solemn, sung service of prayers, Bible readings, and Holy Communion. "High church" and "Anglo-Catholic" in style. We sing traditional hymns accompanied by our organ; the choir sings some parts of the Mass. Incense is used and the Priest is assisted by various servers.

The service last for 50 mins. Printed Orders of Service and hymn books are available. During the first part of the service we offer activities for children in the Hall.

The Mass is always offered for various intentions. Feel free to ask the Priest to offer it for you or for your loved ones, whether living or departed.

On the Feast of Candlemass (2 Feb) -- also called Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, or Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary -- candles are solemnly blessed at the beginning of Mass. This blessing is followed by a procession (usually within the church) and Mass. People are welcome to take the blessed candles home and use them during their private prayers and in times of spiritual need or struggle.
