Funerals

The short answer is yes. There are many choices you can make - readings, music, the structure and "tone" of the service, flowers, and even the venue. Family members and friends can have as much or as little role in the service as they find most helpful in their mourning process.

Obviously, as the service is conducted by the Vicar, it will have a fundamentaly Christian character through prayers to God for the departed and for those left behind.

We are very sorry for your loss and please accept our prayers and condolences.

Please do not worry - simply call or email either the church (Vicar, parish office) or the funeral director of your choice and either of them will lead you through the whole process.

At St. Paul's only the burial of cremated remains is possible in our Remembrance Garden. Please note that ashes must be buried (as opposed to scattered) and are poured directly into the plot, without an urn.

At Fleet (at both churches) the churchyards are open and burials are possible.

The fee to be paid depends on the service you choose. Please visit the Church of England website to have an idea about the cost of a church service.
