WESTHAM SUPPORT FUND

The Westham Support Fund is a Charity which is run for the benefit of residents of Westham who are sick or in financial need and of children who attend a school in the Parish. The Trustees meet four times a year (in January, April, July and November) however urgent requests can be considered between meetings as well to the discretion of the Trustees. Nominations for assistance are also accepted on behalf of a person requiring the financial relief.

As is the case of all Charities, our activities, too, are limited by our funding deed. We can accept applications:

• From people (we cannot help business, organisations or activities) who are residents in the Parish of St. Paul.
• Made on behalf of children who attend Beechcroft St. Paul's or Conifers.

You can check on the "A church near you" website if your address is within our Parish.

The Fund can help in all or any of the following ways or in such other ways as the Trustees think fit, namely:

1. The supply of special food and medicines, medical comforts, extra bedding, fuel and medical and surgical appliances.
2. The provision of domestic help.
3. The grant of money to enable the recipient to obtain benefits as mentioned or to cover expenses of any necessary transport and of obtaining domestic help during convalescence.
4. In genuine need because of their health or financial circumstances.

The list is by no mean conclusive and anyone with a genuine case will be given sympathetic consideration.

If the Trustees decide to support your application, they will either use a credit card to pay the shop or online sales where you want to buy the goods, or pay directly the person who will do the required work for you. The Fund does not make payments directly to applicants.
