to help the the sick and those in need

of the Parish of St. Paul in Westham (Weymouth)

What is the Westham Benevolent Fund?

The Westham Benevolent Fund is a Charity which is run for the benefit of sick and poor persons residing in or carrying out business in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Paul, Weymouth. You can check using this website to see if you reside in the Parish.

What can the Fund do for me?

The Trustees are able to give financial assistance for reasons such as the supply of special food or medicines, medical supplies, extra bedding, provision of domestic help and cost of convalescence including the cost of transport. The list is by no means conclusive and anyone with a genuine case will be given sympathetic consideration.

How soon can the Fund help me?

The Trustees meet four times a year (in January, April, July and November). However, urgent requests can be dealt with between these meetings at the Trustees' discretion.

How can I obtain help?

If you would like to make an application on your own behalf or on behalf of someone who is in need of assistance, please complete the application form and send it to the Vicar by mail, email or in person (see: Contact us).

You can find further details on the application form.

St Paul's

St Paul’s is a lively, forward-looking Anglican church in the Catholic tradition. We are affiliated to the Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda and our PCC has passed the resolution seeking episcopal oversight from the Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

We are part of the diocese of Salisbury and the Deanery of Weymouth and Portland. We maintain very close links with our Voluntary Aided School, Beechcroft St. Paul’s.
